What should you expect when you visit KPC on a Sunday?
Opportunities for growth– We always have at least two Christian Education classes from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Check our Christian Education page for more information.
Food and coffee– There’s always a breakfast spread in the lobby available before the service and after.
People dressed to what suits them– Some of us like to dress up, some of us like to dress down. Whether you’re in a three-piece suit, or a t-shirt and jeans, we’re glad you’re here!
Music from the spectrum of Christian history– The songs we sing on a Sunday range from centuries-old hymns to the best songs of today.
Children’s Participation– Every week we have a “Blessing of the Children” about 20 minutes into the worship service. Children ages three-years-old through fifth grade can come to the front and receive a congregational blessing, before they are dismissed to Children’s Worship Service. Three-years-old to 1stGrade go to the Children’s Ministry Room, second through fifth grade to Room 14, where they can be picked up after the service. If you prefer, your child can stay in the main worship service with you.
An affirmation of the Christian faith– Every week, as a church, we recite an ancient or modern creed of the Christian faith. This helps ground us in Biblical truth and history.
Preaching from the Bible– We believe that preaching and teaching straight from the Bible is foundational for understanding who we are, who God is, and his plan of salvation.
Monthly Celebration of the Lord's Supper– The first Sunday of each month we celebrate the Lord's Supper (communion) after the sermon. You don't need to be a member of our church to participate, but the meal is reserved only for people who have made a profession of faith in Christ and have been baptized. If you are not a member of KPC and are interested in participating in the meal, please talk to a pastor or elder prior to the service.
Lots of hugs and handshakes– Every Sunday we have an informal time of greeting, so if you’re an introvert, prepare yourself for someone to shake your hand or give you a hug!
Our worship service promptly begins at 11 am and usually ends just after 12 pm. Infant care is available in the Lobby every Sunday from 9:30 am to the end of the worship service.
